Ghost Town

2. Not a golfer? The foundation is offering a genuine Arizona experience – a visit to Goldfield Ghost Town. Situated between the Superstition Mountains and the Goldfield Mountains, the settlement of Goldfield got its start in 1892 when very rich, high grade gold ore was found in the area. A town soon sprang up and on October 7, 1893 it received its first official post office. For more than five years 1500 people lived in the burgeoning city. However, when the gold ran out, so did the people. Goldfield is now a ghost town. You can still walk down Main Street, explore the many shops and historic buildings. Tour the historic Mammoth Gold Mine and visit the Goldfield Museum. Pan for gold then take a ride on Arizona's only narrow gauge train.

Goldfield Ghost Town
Price: $199 per adult, $100 donation or $75 (w/kids’ meal) / $99 (w/adults’ meal) for children
Includes: lunch at the Mammoth Steak House and Saloon, a gold mine tour, panning for gold, a visit to the mystery shack, museum tours and more!
Date and Time: March 15, 2012, bus leaves hotel at 11 am, returns to hotel
at about 4:30 pm.
